Inspiration

Students eating alone because of conflicting class schedules with their friends, or hesitating to approach a familiar face because of fear of rejection and food wastage on campus.

What it does

It matches students based on their class schedules and similar interests and allows them to meet and dine together. I aims to reduce food wastage on campus by allowing students to donate their unused meal swipes to those in need.

How I built it

I used Java and XML

Challenges I ran into

Uploading user data on AWS and learning the entire app development in one night

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I did not know anything about android development, java and xml. I spent the entire first day learning it. I was done with all the important concepts by 4 am and then started programming.

What I learned

I learned a lot about android development and xml

What's next for M.E.A.L.S.

Probably going to improve it more and publish it
