A web app that checks song lyrics for FCC profanity violations.

BackStory

My friend works as a radio DJ for KURE at Iowa State University, and mentioned it would be nice to have a faster way of checking a song for FCC violations. I thought about it for a long time, then used this hackathon to make it a reality!

He has since shared this project with his coworkers, and they seemed pretty pumped! It feels pretty cool to make something that directly helps make people's lives easier.

Uses

This app can be used as intended by radio DJs, but it could also be used by parents to censor the music they listen to with their children. It could also be used by students looking to censor their music selection for a school project.

It's 40 minutes until Hackathon submission time and I'm callin' it done for the weekend!
