LyricBelle

Inspiration

Every girls has been in the position where she was alone in a time when she needed the most support. To make it at least a little easier, we created LyricBelle so you can see that you’re not alone in what you’re facing.

What it does

LyricBelle allows you to add a widget on your IOS device. By clicking on it, it brings you to the app where you are able to generate new song lyrics based on how you’re currently feeling as well as change the colour of your widget.

How we built it

We built it using Swift and built our design on Figma

Challenges we ran into

Since our devices were old, we were unable to use platforms we needed to create the actual widget so we were only able to create the app that goes alongside it

Accomplishments that we're proud of

This was our first hackathon and we managed to come out with a functional project that has a real purpose, even if it isn’t highly technical.

What we learned

Preparation and research ahead of time will save you a lot of time on the day of, the importance of evenly dividing tasks, and having a concrete idea of what you want to do before starting to create.

What's next for LyricBelle

Next, we’d like to integrate a page for you to rant through voice recordings or texts and you to store these journals. Also, we’d like to bring the actual widget to life!
