Inspiration

A lifelong fascination with finance and technology has driven us to explore data and the intriguing trends it often encrypts in its unique patterns. When NBFM graciously granted us access to some of their market and trade data, we were instantly inspired and excited to build something meaningful.

What it does

LuViz plots time-series price data, making complex trends clear and easy to understand.

How we built it

We developed LuViz entirely in Python, coding consistently and focusing on delivering results within the time constraints.

Challenges we ran into

Parsing large CSV files proved to be a significant challenge due to extremely slow processing times.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We successfully attended McHacks 12 and built a demoable data visualizer application within 24 hours.

What we learned

We learned the importance of focusing on deliverables and creating a project that is ready to demo at hackathons. Additionally, we realized how much can be achieved in just 24 hours when working with purpose and determination.

What's next for LuViz - Lucid Visualizer

Our next steps include extensive code refactoring, improving performance, and making the codebase cleaner and more efficient.
