Inspiration

One summer, my father mentioned how unbearably hot his office got on sunny days. Watching blinds block sunlight while ACs struggled, I thought: what if windows worked for us? That moment inspired LuminaGlass—windows that save energy and generate power.

What it does

LuminaGlass transforms ordinary windows into energy-efficient power sources. By applying a photovoltaic coating using perovskite solar cells, it reduces heat gain, generates electricity, and preserves natural light. This innovation lowers cooling costs, contributes to renewable energy goals, and helps move buildings closer to zero-energy status—all without replacing existing windows.

How we built it

After an immense amount of research, we developed a cutting-edge photovoltaic coating using perovskite solar cells.

Challenges we ran into

Developing our solution wasn’t easy—we faced the challenge of limited viable options, turning our research into a comprehensive comparison of multiple methods. After extensive evaluation, we chose a cutting-edge photovoltaic coating with perovskite solar cells.

What we learned

LuminaGlass transforms ordinary windows into energy-efficient power sources. During our research, we explored cutting-edge materials in solar panel technology, discovering the incredible potential of perovskite solar cells.
