Inspiration
We wanted to create something that wasn't just a "reskin of ChatGPT," but rather find a use case that enables people to achieve things– beyond what they would be capable of if they were simply "good at using ChatGPT." We wanted to brainstorm ideas that targeted those beyond just the "creators" in the intersection social media and AI and came up with Lumen.
What it does
Lumen AI is a social media platform that empowers anyone to find their creative voice using AI tools. Currently, there are three types of AI-driven experiences within Lumen:
"AI or Not" Challenge: A guessing game where you and your friends can test ability to distinguish between human and AI creations.
Mood-based Music Pairing: Discover new music that fits your mood using Hume AI. Facial expressions captured in photos and pairs them with perfectly matched music.
AI-Powered Creative Prompts: Unleash your imagination with our AI-generated prompts that ignite creativity and inspire captivating content. Lumen asks thought-provoking questions and unconventional challenges.
How we built it
MERN stack.
Leveraged Hume AI with GPT to generate personalized song recommendations. Uses Spotify API to fetch song data
Utilized LangChain to create autocaptioning for posts
Uses DALL-E / astica AI to for our "AI or Not" guessing game.
What's next for Lumen
Accounts for Collaboration and Remixing Accounts that allow users to remix other people's work, and collaborate with others to create.
Galleries of content Rather than feeds, Lumen will show a Pinterest-like gallery of content for users to explore.
Mobile Integration Allows for cross-platform interaction between users and AI.
