Inspiration
Pokemon GO
What it does
Telling stories about Town hall in Leuven in a fun and interactive way.
How we built it
We found an AR.js library which did what we wanted (location-based AR) and from that moment on we started developing on top of it using Javascript, HTML, CSS, and jquery.
Challenges we ran into
How to handle clickable events on 3D objects. Poor documentation on AR.js. Instability of AR.js Working remotely from each other. Testing the prototype mostly at home - insufficient accuracy of google maps tracking.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Being able to bring great results despite working remotely from each other. Great teamwork and communication even though we met each other for the first time for this hackathon.
What we learned
Maybe how AR.js works in the big lines. There are Libraries to work with AR on web. How to pocedurally generate classes and map them together.
