Live Traffic Display

Our idea involves trying to minimize traffic congestion by having display that alert users from before about the traffic flow/conditions.

Inspiration

This project is personal for a few members in the team who have experienced friends or family member's death due to car accidents.

What it does

It is an LED display that will be placed on main roads of the city or those junctions that connect key arterial roads which have statitically proven to be highly crowded.

How I built it

We built it using WPF C# framework. But due do the lack of google api availability we couldn't load live data. Hence, we gathered some data , stored it and using the same to simulate the demo

Challenges I ran into

Our time was wasted while deciding which api to be used and due to the topic being very vast there were many questions and problems raised in between.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

This project is my first hackathon. So i am proud of the work l did and was able to collaborate with the team well.

What I learned

I learned business analytics skills and the steps required to create a project from the ground up.

What's next for Live Traffic Display

Currently we are using just google api and so in further development we are planning to ensure the data integrity and the connection security.
