Inspiration

One of our members attended the Power Your Potential event on 23rd Feb and one of the things that stuck with her was something Kim B Miller said. "When we're done with a task on our To Do List we just check it off and move ahead, we never celebrate that moment". This application is a way to remedy that, a way to celebrate the small wins in day-to-day life.

What it does

Our brainchild is a productivity app that not only helps you stay on track with your tasks but also showers you with delightful perks to keep your motivation soaring. Picture this: every time you tick off a task, a cascade of celebration animations floods your screen, cheering you on for your accomplishment! But wait, there's more. We've infused the app with an emotional touch – allowing you to input how you're feeling at any moment, and in return, we serve up a perfectly matched GIF to amplify your mood. Feeling quirky? Throw in some random words and brace yourself for a hilarious GIF surprise!

How we built it

Crafted with passion and powered by innovation, our app came to life through the magical blend of Bubble.io and a sprinkle of GIF and calendar plugins. This dynamic duo enabled us to sculpt a seamless user experience that marries functionality with fun, all in record time!

Challenges we ran into

Ah, the journey of innovation is not without its twists and turns! Initially setting sail with Flutter and AWS as our tech vessels, we faced turbulent waters in syncing them smoothly. Despite our fervent efforts, the integration proved elusive, prompting us to navigate towards Bubble.io's tranquil shores. Its low-code prowess provided the sanctuary we needed, empowering us to swiftly weave our vision into reality with plugins and APIs as our guiding stars.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Oh, the sweet taste of victory! Wrapping up our app within a mere 24-hour sprint was a triumph unto itself, especially for two of our team members stepping into the exhilarating world of hackathons for the first time. Our collective journey from ideation to execution speaks volumes of our synergy as a team, each hurdle surmounted with unwavering determination and collaborative spirit.

What we learned

In the crucible of creation, we evolved through the stages of forming, storming, norming, and ultimately, performing. Beyond the technical terrain, our odyssey illuminated the invaluable art of adaptability. Swiftly pivoting from one approach to another, we honed our instincts to discern what works best, a lesson as invaluable as it is timeless.
