Inspiration

The inspiration behind Lit A lamp comes from getting clarity in your day to day life by focusing on your priority goals and to have a community to motivate and share your reflections. We were inspired by the beauty of nature and the desire to create a space where people can find little lights of positivity, help them focus on their goals and share their experiences.

What it does

User can set their top 5 goals which will light up a lamp, view their goal list and remove lamps. On reflection page everyone can share their story which will show with a word cloud on the platform and Little lights shows quotes and thoughts inspired from Olaf and Charlie brown characters

How we built it

We built Lit A Lamp using Frontend web development technologies. The frontend was crafted with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, also used css framework bootstrap to provide a smooth and interactive user interface.

Challenges we ran into

we faced several challenges. One of them was designing an theme of the goal page with lamps to create user friendly user interface for everyone. We also faced challenges with integrating technologies and using bootstrap and creating animation, generating word cloud based on text.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We successfully built a nature inspired background, generating word cloud from text learnt, and created animation in css for the first time and created a platform where people can focus, share and find motivation.

What we learned

We learned about bootstrap framework, building text visuals with word clouds library, creating animation and balancing functionality with user friendly and modern user interface

What's next for Lit A Lamp

In the future, we will work on expanding the platform's features and functionalities which includes enhancing the community platform and creating spaces to find users with similar goals.
