Inspiration

We were inspired by our own experiences navigating the job application process and realizing the difficulty in quickly creating professional resumes that effectively showcase our skills and experiences.

What it does

Our platform helps users effortlessly build professional resumes by utilizing AI to enhance job descriptions and directly importing profile information through seamless integration with LinkedIn.

How we built it

We built our platform using Next.js, integrated OpenAI's ChatGPT API for content enhancement, and leveraged RapidAPI for LinkedIn profile integration.

Challenges we ran into

A significant challenge was integrating LinkedIn functionality; we explored and tested three different APIs before successfully establishing a reliable connection.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud to have created a practical and user-friendly tool that we personally find valuable and plan to actively use in our own job searches.

We learned how to set up the OpenAI API in typescript, we also learned typescript.

What's next for LinkedIntoResume

Next, we plan to develop a Chrome extension enabling users to automatically populate job application forms, further simplifying and streamlining the job application process.
