Inspiration

Language learning has been a popular and important topic for many years, and technology has made it more accessible and efficient than ever before. The inspiration behind LingoLift was a desire to create a user-friendly platform that harnesses the power of AI to make language learning more personalized and effective. Additionally, we have been motivated by a passion for learning languages and wanted to share this with others.

What it does

LingoLift is a language learning website with an AI-powered chatbot to help users learn a new language. The chatbot uses natural language processing to communicate with users in their target language, providing personalized feedback and corrections to improve their language skills. All the world's major languages are included! LingoLift's system adapts to each user's learning style and pace, making the language learning process more efficient and enjoyable. LingoLift also generates a personalized vocab quiz based on the conversation!

How we built it

The main technologies used were flask for the backend and OpenAi to power the frontend. We used the programming languages python, jinja, javascript, html, and css.

Challenges we ran into

We struggled with developing the chatbot because it was our first time ever!

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of making a chat-bot based web-app for the first time. We are also proud of improving our Javascript because we are both beginners in that language (Python for the win). We are also proud of our website design because graphic design is our passion.
