Inspiration
What it does
Lilo provides a one stop shop for all personal and family financial needs. It has the following features:
- Transfer funds to any user of the app
- Request for funds from family member
- Set spending limits for family members
- Schedule payments of services periodically
- Send money to any part of the world through cash, bank transfer, wallet transfer or card
- send and buy Gift Cards.

How we built it
We split ourselves into teams and each person worked on a particular project that was interesting. The teams were: UI design and research which carried out user testing and designing of the User Interface. Front end development: The front end team made use Flutter to create both the web app and the mobile app Backend team: Made use of Node.Js for API integration and database storage using firebase
Challenges we ran into
GiftCard API integration: It was initially difficult to find a giftcard API that works well with our platform, but we were able to find something that works especially due to the location constraints. Time Constraints: As with all hackathons, time is never enough, but we were able to finalize all developements and fix bugs in time.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We were able to build and deploy a fully functional app that lets users control and manage their spendings and that of their loved ones.
What we learned
We leant how the fintech world works and the different available platforms that exists for users and developers. We learnt node.js indept and how we can apply it for many different projects
