Inspiration

Allow musicians to express themselves using light and sound.

How it works

The conductor or musician wears two Thalmic MYO devices. One arm modulates the color of light. One arm controls light intensity.

Challenges I ran into

Desired global lighting effect and placement can vary greatly depending on different styles of music.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

A new way of experiencing music creation was achieved.

What I learned

Much was learnt about MYO, MIDI, and DMX512.

What's next for Light and Music

Room for improving algorithms for more diverse/precise/subtle/dynamic lighting control.
