Inspiration

Our inspiration for our project is our personal experiences as IB students and the stereotypes that are associated. These include very difficult courses such as HL Math, and other classes which challenge high school students to learn advance levels of education (reaching to low-university levels).

What it does

Our project illustrates the chaotic school-life of average IB students (may be overexaggerated). It cooperates short-mini games to exemplify how most IB students are consistently bombarded with exams, assignments, quizzes, labs, etc (challenges).

How we built it

We used python to create the basis of the storyline. Each member would then create a short mini-game to accompany the task in each of the 4 classes of the day.

Challenges we ran into

"whyyyyy" "what is this?" "what does this mean?" "how do we code???"

Not only was it our first hackathon, it was also our first experience with coding... we struggled to comprehend the structure of coding languages, but we had many mentors that were able to aid and teach us through this amazing journey. thanks

Accomplishments that we're proud of

we are also proud of completing a project with the lack of previous knowledge on coding.

What we learned

Learning the basics of python variables, classes, defining functions, loops, if statements, else. Collaboration skills what the community of coding is like what coding is like (fun with many challenges)

What's next for us

Our next goal is to participate in more coded-related events to learn more about coding. Perhaps, next year after we have learned more, we will be able to somewhat-independently/knowledgeful work in the next hackathon at SFU.
