Finding the right recipe shouldn’t feel like a scavenger hunt! Most recipes online either call for pricey ingredients, take forever to make, or leave you wishing for more flavor. We knew there had to be a better way—so we built it!

We brought this idea to life using LangFlow and the ChatGPT API—but we didn’t stop there! To ensure you always get the best-priced ingredients, our AI fetches real-time market prices, comparing options to find the most budget-friendly choices. 💰✨

And to keep things 100% accurate, we integrated a precision calculator that crunches the numbers, ensuring you get the best meal at the best price—every single time. 🔥🍽️

🚀 Overcoming Challenges & Making It Work!

Like any great project, we hit a few roadblocks along the way—but we tackled them head-on! 💪

🔹 Challenge 1: No Public API for Pricing Data Getting real-time product prices wasn’t easy since no public API existed. But we found a solution! By using LangFlow, we gave our model infinite internet access, letting it fetch up-to-date market prices seamlessly.

🔹 Challenge 2: Unusable Output Format At first, the model’s responses were in a format that only LangFlow chat could understand—not exactly helpful! So, we built a custom algorithm to convert the raw output into a format we could actually use.

🔹 Challenge 3: Backend & Frontend Communication Issues When we deployed the app, the backend and frontend just wouldn’t talk to each other. 😩 But after hours of debugging (and maybe some caffeine-fueled problem-solving), we finally got everything working smoothly.

Each challenge made our Cheffy even stronger, and now it’s ready to serve up affordable, easy, and delicious meals like a pro! 🍽️🔥

🌍💰Location Tracking - Our app will have capability to track your location and find nearby local store prices. Then you can truly get the most cost effective products a stone's throw from your own home.

📸 Fridge Scan & Expiration Tracking – Inspired by last year's unihack winner, simply take a picture of your fridge, and our app will analyse ingredients based on their expiration status, generating a recipe that makes the most of what you have! 🥦🍗

📚 Recipe Database – We’re building a personalised recipe archive so you can save, revisit, and tweak your favorite meals anytime!

🎯 AI Fine-Tuning with User Feedback – The more you use it, the better it gets! By allowing users to rate and refine recipes, our AI will personalise results for your unique taste and preferences. 🍽️✨
