Inspiration

We want to give direct feedback or ask questions to professors anonymously. Other sites like RateMyProfessor are not in direct contact with professors, therefore feedback often goes unreceived. Thus we plan to solve this issue with a more direct and efficient way to converse with professors anonymously.

What it does

We’ve created a website that is easily accessible to both students and professors to give and receive comments and feedback completely anonymously while still using school emails. The link to the site can be easily posted to coursesite for efficiency. With the version we have right now, the comment gets stored as a text file, and the component we still need is the ability to have it autonomously sent through email.

How we built it

We used HTML do display the page and ideally we would use something like PHP to handle the backend.

Challenges we ran into

One obstacle and main concern we had with the legitimacy of our site was the chance of harassment being spread on the site. Therefore, we also implemented the report button to let professors or other students hold each other accountable. The actual components involved in enacting the report button on the site is still in its very basic stage and it’s not fully functional yet.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We did not know HTML before this, so establish the visual format of the page was an accomplishment.

What we learned

There is more backend development than we expected when creating a website.

What's next for Lehigh Anonymous Evaluation

Actually implementing many of the features through backend development.
