(Inspiration) My children and future grandchildren.

LegacyCode was born from the deep desire to preserve truth, wisdom, and love in a form that cannot be corrupted, erased, or misunderstood. In a world of shifting narratives, I wanted to give my descendants something permanent, private, and purposeful — my voice, my thoughts, and my values — directly from me, unfiltered by systems or platforms.

What it does

LegacyCode allows users to create secure, "capsules" — containing messages, stories, instructions, pictures, videos or lessons — that can only be accessed under specific conditions. These conditions might include a passphrase, a question and answer, or a time-locked access. The capsule is then stored (simulated or encrypted for IPFS), and can later be unlocked by heirs or recipients with the correct input. It is a digital vault for ancestral continuity — ensuring that your legacy is preserved and delivered with intent and integrity.

How we built it

LegacyCode was built using Bolt.new — a no-code/low-code AI development platform. Supabase was installed and created to manage the UI Metamask interaction.

We used: Bolt’s AI form generators to create the Capsule Creator and Unlock Rule components.

Dynamic UI logic to preview content before and after unlocking.

Mock encryption and storage logic to simulate vault behavior.

Optional wallet/passphrase fields to simulate future blockchain and IPFS integration.

Challenges we ran into

Designing a system that is secure but still accessible without overcomplicating the UX.

Ensuring privacy and encryption flows could be simulated realistically for MVP purposes.

Adapting a personal, spiritual, and cultural vision into a technical product without losing its specific purpose.

Navigating UI constraints in Bolt.new’s generator while ensuring smooth transitions between steps.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Transformed a heartfelt vision into a working prototype in less than 30 days.

Created a flexible model that works for families, educators, healers, and cultural archivists.

Maintained clarity and respect for inter generational memory — without becoming a commercial tool.

Successfully combined ancestral intent with decentralized technology.

What we learned

Many people want to leave a legacy, but don’t know how — tools like LegacyCode, IPFS, Blockchain can unlock that desire.

Building for permanence means thinking beyond platforms — into privacy, ownership, and family continuity.

What's next for LegacyCode

Full integration with IPFS and Web3.Storage for encrypted, decentralized storage.

Ability to mint soulbound NFTs when capsules are unlocked. Expansion into community vaults governed by DAO principles.

Launch of a Legacy Library: anonymous (or attributed) capsules shared for global healing, learning, and inspiration.

Language and cultural modules for elders worldwide to record oral traditions in their native tongues.

Testing the complete functionality of UI and the Legacycode.sol solidity contract.
