Inspiration
Our inspiration came from the intersection of AI, blockchain, and the desire to make news consumption more engaging and interactive. We envisioned an AI artist that could transform the daily news into compelling digital art, guided by a democratic process of selection through a DAO.
What it does
Le Alma, our autonomous artist, uses AI to analyze daily news, transforming headlines into artistic prompts. It generates four unique pieces of digital art each day. The DAO community then votes for the day's masterpiece, creating a blend of news, art, and democracy.
How we built it
We used advanced language models to interpret news headlines and turn them into art prompts. Blockchain technology was harnessed to build the DAO, enabling a fair voting process. The digital art generation leveraged GANs and other machine learning techniques.
Challenges we ran into
Ensuring the AI's interpretation of news into art prompts made sense and captured the nuances was a challenge, as was building a DAO that truly enabled a fair voting process.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Creating an autonomous AI artist and a functioning DAO that lets the community have a say in the artistic process. Our project is democratizing the consumption of news and art.

We learned a lot about the capabilities of AI, the intricacies of DAO, and how these technologies can interact to create something new and engaging.
What's next for Le Alma
Next, we plan to introduce more categories of news for more varied art, integrate more AI art techniques, and onboard more DAO members for a richer, more diverse voting community.
