Inspiration

When we were thinking about what app to make for this hackathon, we discussed the biggest problem currently afflicting Indonesia. We came to the conclusion that student welfare was one of the main problems right now. Our first thought was that the biggest problem is the economic disparity between students, so we would like to create an app that would help students have an income while not interfering with their studies. Aside from that idea, we discovered another issue we can solve which is students who are struggling with their schoolwork. So, we figured why don’t we just kill two birds with one stone by solving both of those problems within the same app. That's how we came up with the idea for our app. This app provides a platform for students to find other students who can tutor and students who need tutoring. Creating a place where students can tutor other students and solve the problem of students who need extra income by tutoring other students. They get extra income and their studies are not disrupted because they are also studying by tutoring other students. These tutors will also benefit students who are struggling in school because they can gain new perspectives on the same challenges they are facing

What it does

Our app is a platform to LEARN & EARN. LEARN implies that students will be able to learn through 1-on-1 sessions with a tutor or watch courses instead. The courses are all created by the tutors themselves, and these tutor-created courses will be checked to see if they are qualified to be published. Tutors will also be able to be rated by their "students" using a rating system provided in the app, allowing us to find the best tutors for students. EARN is accomplished by providing students who are capable in a few school subjects a platform where they can earn income by tutoring other students. Additionally, students who have recently graduated from senior high school are permitted to use this app. After all, they may still require extra income, but are unable to obtain it due to the minimal opportunity given to obtain such income.

How we built it

We built the app by using Figma as the front-end solution and we used bubble.io for the back-end solution

Challenges we ran into

Figuring out the payment system: Scenario: A tutor who is under 17 can't cash out money or transfer money out of the app because they don't have an identification card of the ID Card
Figuring out the back-end: Scenario: How can we work effectively so that the back-end and front-end matches

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We successfully made an app that look quite good and kinda works as it's our first time making an app

What we learned

Executing a big task within a set time frame is a hard thing to do. We learned how to use various apps and we learned how to work efficiently with each other but also individually
