Inspiration

I was inspired to do this by the nagging thought always telling me I could be doing more for the world. This thought unfortunately never described how, but with this your path to being a kinder person is clear.

What it does

Our app finds and displays a random suggestion for an act of kindness when you click the generate button.

How we built it

The KindnessGen was built using python and the tk module to create the GUI and pyinstaller to create the exe file.

Challenges we ran into

Using an text generative AI API was the original goal but due to insufficient funds there is a set number of acts that does not change unless updated

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The kindnessGen is a very accessible app and can be used very quickly everyday.

What we learned

We learned how to make the GUI more appealing and how to create exe files, and all about the tk module

What's next for KindnessGen

KindnessGen hopes to use AI to make the generation completely automated and make it accessible for Iphones.
