The idea for JustFund was born out of frustration with the challenges faced by grassroots social justice initiatives in accessing reliable funding. While platforms like GoFundMe have empowered many, I noticed a gap: the lack of specialized support for social justice causes and concerns about transparency. Inspired by stories of crowdfunding’s transformative potential—like campaigns that rebuilt lives after injustice or funded critical community projects—I wanted to create a platform where every initiative is personally vetted to ensure legitimacy. JustFund was designed to eliminate barriers, provide trust, and ensure that 100% of donations go directly to driving meaningful change.
