Inspiration
FEI and RARI merge was the first merge use case of merge, the process was inefficient and could be optimized. The main issue was offchain bargaining and price discovery issue.
What it does
Our M&A protocol is an all in one Dapp to conduct a DAO to DAO merge or acquisition via Sourcing, Sequential Bargaining
How we built it
A Dapp, where every blockchain user compatible with EVM can create a room where only restricted people are allowed. Only the token holder of the same DAO can enter in the Room. In the room there are some software, chat interface, sequential bargaining software, white paper to write a proposal. When the sequential bargaining takes place with 2 representative of each, the negotiation is offchain but the result of the negotiation is published on chain. A vesting period is put in place and is confirmed if more than 50% of the token supply is vested. After this funding period a new token is distributed.
Challenges we ran into
The main issue was to decentralize a web2 software and make it accessible to DAO users. The challenge was to find a governance architecture that was not vulnerable to governance scams or double voting power. We needed to build a Dapp using a high data consumer software.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud to have imagined a all in one framework for M&A process. We have no clue on how many merge will happen between to Decentralized Autonomous Organizations.
What we learned
We learned to work together under I pressure, adapting our different skills research, strategy, project management, full stack development and solidity development. We also learned to use our web3 skills in a new domain, Merger and Acquisition universe.
What's next for Junction
Junction wants to become a M&A framework with smart sourcing powered by IA to make DAO merge proposition, Bargain with on chain or off chain ways requiring sometime third parties. We want to make the Junction Swap cross chain, to merge any kind of DAO wether they are on a EVM or not. We want to become the reference in M&A but also use Decentralized Bargaining in other usecases like official interDAO negotiation for business related discussions, inter MultiSig for investment proposal, intraMultisig to bargain on sharing illiquid asset when exiting the Multisig.
