JazzBot

Inspiration

We've all heard of the recent sinful actions that YouTube is taking against discord bot staples such as Groovy and Rhythm, so in retaliation, we've decided to make our own bot that tackles this problem by accessing Spotify instead.

What it does

Theoretically, it is able to connect to servers and play tracks and playlists from spotify.

How we built it

We started with discord.py, but transitioned into discord.js with node.js and lavalink.

Just getting the bot running with commands, learning some Java script for the first time.

Basics of discord bots, liveshare, some Java script.

What's next for JazzBot

We want to make it contain a database that stores frequently listened to songs and then maybe integrate Soundcloud API to make us stand apart from other pre-existing bots.
