What inspired us:
We always had facial recognition in mind. When we realized we could analyze someone's confidence by how well they could maintain eye contact, we decided to use it to help people with their interviews. In the end, our AI was able to analyze facial expressions to determine someone's confidence during their interviews.
What we learned:
One of our members came into this hackathon without any coding knowledge, they left with a little more. I learned the very basics of typescript whereas Ishaan learned how to use Python.
How we built our project and the challenges we faced:
We built our project using a mix of openCV for the backend and HTML for the frontend. We went through many different ideas, like things for parking spaces, studying apps, and more. However, we decided on this because it seemed like the most original. The challenges we faced were burnout, running out of ideas, and also just not understanding our codes. At times we felt like giving up and we felt stuck in a roadblock; however, we got out of this mental block and we persevered. Additionally, our friends from other teams motivated us to lock in even when everything seemed wrong. We used SKlearn, openCV, Flask, and other libraries to help us with website and facial recognition integration.
