Mesa 88 - Find your Intern

Inspiration

Our main inspiration came from the problem that one of our teamates is having. Which is finding a company in which he can get to do his internship.

What it does

Our application is avaible to provide several options for intenships opportunities, whether if is in your hometown, own country or any other city/country. The user is able to choose one of these opportunities and send an email to the company, this way all of his info is send to them and he can start a conversation with the recruiting team. Another feature that the project has is that a company is able to register and start to publish their own opportunities, so they can have a better way to find people and haste the recruiting process.

How we built it

We built it using Azure cloud plataform, we build a server in the plataform and created a MS Sql server to store and access all the data. We build 2 applications in Visual-studio using C# as the main language for both apps. Also, we build a CLI app on Node.JS to serve as a administrator and this way, we are able to consume all the info from the DB and also avaible to show that we have a solid communication with the Cloud Plataform

Challenges we ran into

 Learning how to work with Azure, and also how to work with Node.JS

Accomplishments that we're proud of

 Being able to create the whole server-db using azure and consuming the resources from the plataform. Also, being able to stablish a connection from Node.JS and the C# application.
