Inspiration

We wanted to make people more aware of the other Insurances there are to offer because some of us for example never heard of pet insurance, this way more people have a better idea of what can help them in their daily lives.

What it does

It guides the users into information they're interested in instead of throwing it all at once for them to discover. the idea of it is to have only 2 buttons on each webpage where it keeps branching and branching to where the user wants to read, that way they won't feel lost when learning about other types of insurance from Statefarm.

How we built it

we used Microsoft Azure to deploy and globalize our website, Django was the web framework in addition to of course HTML, CSS, and Python for it. VS Code was also the IDE we worked on.

Challenges we ran into

We tried using Velo by Wix at first but after discovering that not everyone can edit at the same time we had to come up with a different plan. Deploying the website on Azure had a lot of errors configuring the web apps, it was tricky and tedious to troubleshoot the issues and fix the errors since it took most of our time. Dividing the work was also a challenge we had to go over because we didn't want collisions when combining the work.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

It was the first time most of us did something with full-stack scalable development so to view the end project even when it was rushed was something we should be happy about. dividing the work so that our workflow doesn't get interrupted by others' edits was also a challenge in itself, Resolving that made us feel more proud of our work.

What we learned

More planning was needed before fiddling around with the different APIs that were available. the main thing was about full stack development and globalizing the website so now we all have a better understanding of how to do it.

What's next for the Interactive graphical website (Statefarm)

We plan for data scrapping so the data automatically updates from the Statefarm and Trupanion websites so our website wouldn't have to be manually updated each time.
