Inspiration
Women students in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) face many challenges and barriers that can discourage them from pursuing their interests and careers in these fields. Some of these challenges include lack of confidence, lack of mentorship, gender stereotyping and limited flexibility . To overcome these obstacles, women students in STEM need a safe platform where they can learn from female role models, connect with peers and mentors, access scholarships and opportunities, and feel empowered to follow their passions . A safe platform for women students in STEM can also help create a more diverse and innovative workforce that can meet the growing demand for STEM skills .
What it does
Women students in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) fields face many challenges and barriers that can affect their academic performance, career aspirations and mental health. A proper and safe space for women students in STEM is one that provides them with adequate resources, support, mentorship and opportunities to excel in their chosen disciplines. Such a space should also foster a culture of respect, inclusion and diversity, where women students can feel valued, empowered and free from discrimination, harassment and violence.
