Infinity Extension

Inspiration

Time is precious. Reclaim it. Make the vast internet yours. We often spend considerable time digesting swathes of information online, we wanted to create a tool to digest this information and present it in a clear and concise format, from any website. We love asking questions. Therefore we wanted a way to not just have a summary, but to interact with the site and follow up.

What it does

Infinity extension is a chrome extension that summarises websites and then lets you asks a questions about the website. The summarisation is based on the site itself, using this input to provide a detailed understanding. Trader mode tailors the extension to allow traders to quickly perform a sentiment analysis on a website to give lightning fast insight into the impact of articles and more!

How we built it

We created the chrome extension using their API, and then used a software called VoiceFlow to seamlessly interact with the AI LLM (Large Language Model).

Challenges we ran into

There were several challenges along the way including having the LLM provider not work for several hours which was stressful. Another issue was general front end CSS jank.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Conversing with the web is exciting! A novel way to interact with a familiar domain. Getting the API solution working and creating our first chrome extension!

What's next for Infinity Extension

We are working on tailoring the extension to various user applications, for example in the pipeline we are expanding our 'Trader Mode' to provide even more insights. We are also planning on making the summarisation work with Blackboard and other PDF sources.
