Inspiration

Our inspiration for the "Inclusive AI Classroom" project comes from the desire to bridge educational gaps for less privileged and women students who often face obstacles in accessing formal education. We believe that technology can be a powerful tool for empowerment, and we aim to provide an inclusive learning environment to empower these students.

What it does

The "Inclusive AI Classroom" is a comprehensive educational platform that integrates several AI-powered tools to support learners. It includes a course generator, autocomplete notes taker, AI tutor chatbot, and a calendar scheduler. These components work together to provide a mini classroom experience, offering accessible and personalized education to our target audience.

How we built it

The project integrates various technologies, including Next.js 13, Tailwind CSS, Clerk for authentication, OpenAI's DALL•E API, Versa AI SDK, DrizzleORM, Neon DB, Firebase Storage, and TipTap for rich text editing. It follows Next.js 13's file-based routing structure and uses components from Shadcn (Tailwind CSS).

Challenges we ran into

We faced challenges related to ensuring that AI-generated content remains accurate and relevant was also a key challenge. Prompt engineering for Smart Notes taker was quite daunting, Server hosting was expensive as the server timeout reaches more than 30-60 sec due to content generation.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We take pride in creating a comprehensive and innovative solution for education and productivity. Our project empowers users to enhance their learning, note-taking, and creativity, making education more accessible and efficient.

What we learned

This project provided valuable insights into AI integration, web development, and collaborative problem-solving. It reinforced the idea that thoughtful use of technology can significantly enhance the learning experience.

What's next for Inclusive AI Classroom

To develop multi-lingual web and mobile platform that combines:

  1. Personalized AI-generated courses that include generated lectures, summaries, videos, and Adaptive quizzes, which are tailored with feedback and grading systems to ensure a well-paced learning and better information retention.
  2. Auto-generated assignments and dialogue over PDF files from any website or local PDF to create broader and engaging learning sessions.
  3. Custom AI-powered personalized tutors specializing in their fields, such as learning about Indian civil rights history from Mahatma Gandhi to discussing space with Sir Einstein, to make learning more intuitive and engaging.
  4. Digital notebooks equipped with a wide range of tools to annotate, auto-complete, and publish your notes, enhancing note-taking and organization of material.
  5. A creativity dashboard featuring personalized chatbots, image, audio, video, and code generation tools to promote creativity and engagement.
  6. The platform offers seamless scheduling and reminders for upcoming assignments and routine quizzes to manage learning schedules effectively.
