Inspiration
The inspiration behind TaskMate stemmed from the common struggles of coordinating household chores among roommates. Witnessing the challenges faced in shared living spaces sparked the idea to create a streamlined platform that simplifies task organization.
What it does
TaskMate is a platform designed to facilitate the seamless organization and delegation of household tasks among roommates. It provides a user-friendly interface for creating, assigning, and managing tasks within a shared living environment.
How we built it
TaskMate was crafted using a combination of modern web development technologies. We utilized HTML, and JavaScript for dynamic functionality. The back-end infrastructure was built using frameworks like python flask , ensuring smooth communication and task management.
Challenges we ran into
Developing an intuitive and efficient task assignment system while ensuring a user-friendly experience posed significant challenges. Integrating real-time updates and managing user interactions were among the hurdles we navigated.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Achieving a functional platform that simplifies the delegation of tasks among roommates stands as our primary accomplishment. We're proud of creating a solution that fosters harmony and organization within shared living spaces.
What we learned
Throughout the development of TaskMate, we gained valuable insights into user-centric design, real-time communication handling, and the complexities of creating an intuitive task assignment system. Additionally, we honed our collaborative skills in a team-driven environment.
What's next for TaskMate
In the future, TaskMate aims to introduce enhanced features such as real-time notifications, personalized task recommendations, and integration with smart home devices for task automation. We strive to continually refine TaskMate to better serve the evolving needs of shared living environments.Additionally we made a Figma mock design of what our final product will look like down the line.
