A challenge with many Kinvey sales is the perceived lack of visibility into the Kinvey backend. Our only recourse today is to sell the Operational Intelligence add-on, but that is only available for single-tenant Kinvey deployments, but those are usually prohibitively expensive. This hackathon proposal would demonstrate a Kinvey micro service design pattern, and integration between ARC and Kinvey to provide an analytics solution that can be used in lower cost Multi-Tenant BaaS applications and exposes Kinvey usage metrics via REST and SQL. In particular, this project will show WhatsUp Gold scripts surfacing Kinvey usage metrics in APM dashboards, a chatbot providing conversational access to Kinvey usage patterns, and a third-party BI tool visualizing Kinvey backend usage.
