Inspiration
We were inspired by a simple question: What if anyone could turn their knowledge into a movement?
We saw thousands of great ideas posted on social media, shared during networking events, or pitched in hackathons — but most died due to lack of support, direction, or execution.
Igniter was born to change that. We wanted to build a place where ideas aren’t just shared — they’re validated, endorsed, executed, and funded by the community.
What it does
Igniter is a web application that helps anyone turn their expertise into monetizable action plans.
Users can:
- Submit a short form about their expertise and delivery preference
- Receive a custom 5-step monetization roadmap
- Share their idea to the public gallery
- Earn tips, votes, and clones (rev-share opportunities)
- Compete in the Race to Execute leaderboard for funding pools
- View analytics and clone counts on their personal dashboard
- Receive social endorsements or feedback from the community
- Preview premium roadmap steps to upgrade for advanced strategies
It’s part monetization engine, part execution arena, and part idea validation platform.
How we built it
We used Bolt.new to rapidly generate the initial MVP and then applied conversion-focused CRO enhancements across every component.
Tech highlights include:
- Frontend built with React and TypeScript
- Styled with Tailwind CSS for responsive design
- Animated with Framer Motion for smooth UX
- Componentized UI and shared app state using React Context API
- Roadmap generator logic in TypeScript for reusable output
Additional modules:
- Multi-step form logic with dynamic inputs
- "Idea Forge" interface with roadmap gallery, tipping, and clone metrics
- User dashboard with roadmap stats, submission history, and mock earnings
- Admin mock interface to manage users, approvals, and roadmap curation
Challenges we ran into
- Creating meaningful roadmap steps from open-ended expertise input
- Condensing business strategy into a fun, visual, actionable experience
- Balancing hackathon speed with depth of user functionality
- Handling financial logic for clone sharing and tipping (future integration)
- Aligning gamification and competition with clear user motivation
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- Built a working monetization platform MVP in less than 1 day, less than 24 hours!
- Unified roadmap generation, sharing, endorsement, and leaderboard into one UX
- Designed with real CRO best practices, not just aesthetics
- Created a project with real viral and long-term business potential
- Developed a scalable framework for future monetization and community growth
What we learned
- Guided forms with smart output reduce friction and increase perceived value
- People engage more when they see proof of potential impact and reward
- Gamification paired with financial incentives increases motivation
- Hackathon speed doesn’t mean sacrificing quality — if your UX is clear and focused
