Inspiration
In a world where screens are just a reach away, we all inevitably get lazy and not as active anymore. However, working out and keeping healthy is not as easy to start. Lacking motivation is also one of the reasons why it is so difficult. But, if they have friends, family, or others who are willing to accompany them through the journey, it is more likely that they would have a boost-start and maintain their momentum.
What it does
IDOMOVES is a fitness app that creates personalised plans to cater to user's goals. But there's a catch. We provide an opportunity for user to create your own virtual trainer with an image of your favorite character through the use of AI. And they can also converse with you through a chatroom, giving you recommendations for exercises, or advice on your diets.
Challenges we ran into
The user journey was not established clearly from the start, hence in the middle of development, it created a conflict between the back-end coding and UX. Another problem is when looking at other fitness apps, they had a huge amount of different functions and utilities, and with the scope of our project, it proves to be impossible to finish them all.
What we learned
By being under intense pressure, we found out methods to code front-end react quicker, also finding out new discoveries to do it more efficiently.
What's next for IDOMOVE
We would like to further dive into personalising, enabling users to look through their plans and able to make changes, adding plans from other users, creating a network to connect different users together to create a community. We would also have to think about a way to provide a long-term interest for users to maintain using our product.
