Inspiration

Every student has the goal of being a successful individual in life, but oftentimes, they do not have the resources they need to succeed. For example, they may lack necessary resources(it could be costly) or do not have the right guidance. This inspired us to create IdealPlace, a web platform that helps students to achieve your goals, be successful in life and live that life that they always dream of. We hope to help the student community with this website.

What it does

IdealPlace is a web platform that empowers students to build a better future for themselves. This is the following features it includes:

  • Creates roadmaps that students can use to be at their ideal self
  • Presents various resources of learning and building a good habit(s)
  • Provide ways to study efficiently with clear focus
  • Collaborate with successful people and learn more about their journey
  • Creates the right guidance for students

Most Creative Use of GitHub

  • When using GitHub we implemented the CI/CD workflow and made the deployment process easy.
  • It helped us to get the project deployed on the network to be accessed by other people.

Challenges we ran into

  • We had to brainstorm and come up with a feasible idea that was innovative and could be implemented within the given time frame.
  • Some of our teammates did not have much experience using building a website and they had to learn more about it especially when it came to fixing issues.
  • Due to the difference in the time zone, we had some difficulty collaborating, but we managed to get the project done.

  • Adding more features such as: include todo list with filters of daily/weekly/monthly for user to track his progress, make user stay away from distractions, connect with mentor, etc.
  • Gathering more relevant data and using ML/AI for user optimization
  • Improving the UI
