Inspiration
We wanted to create an app that would provide meaningful insight into disease trends. Using geolocation and IBM Watson we are able to create a heatmap and provide analytics based around symptoms and geographic locations.
What it does
When you load the app you get right into a prompt with Watson where you say are sick and through that conversation you give I'm Sick the data it needs to create the heatmap and visualizations.
How we built it
We used Meteor.js, Mongodb, and IBM's Watson API in order to run a reactive and interactive application.
Challenges we ran into
We ran out of time to create more detailed data visualization models but that is definitely on the list to do next.
What's next for I'm Sick
Create increasingly meaningful data models and visualizations in order to increase I'm Sick's usefulness to everyone from normal everyday people to the doctors that fight the diseases we are tracking.
