Inspiration

Globally, more than 785 million people do not have access to at least basic water services and more than 884 million people did not have safe water to drink. We wanted to create an idea that would encourage people to monitor their water usage and take action to reduce their carbon footprint. So, we created HydroPatrol.

What it does

HydroPatrol encourages people to take charge of their water usage and try to implement eco-friendly practices into their daily lives. At HydroPatrol, we celebrate individual growth and community. involvement.

How we built it

We built our website in replit using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Challenges we ran into

We ran into some challenges with image formatting but after lots of research and trial and error, we were able to make a polished final product. Also, linking the navigation bar to its according part of the pages was tricky, but we figured it out. In addition to this, we had small formatting bugs that we collaborated to figure out.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Overall, we're proud of our final product, HydroPatrol. We worked in time zones across the world, but we were able to make it work. Also, we didn't all have a lot of experience with web development before, but we learned as we went along!

What we learned

We learned how to make interactive elements using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and some cool text and image effects. We also learned about teamwork and collaboration.

What's next for HydroPatrol

In the future, we would like to develop an app for more mobility, along with a section for what kinds of eco-friendly prizes we are offering. We would also like to have real-time partnerships with companies promoting an eco-friendly lifestyle for prizes and events.
