  Overview of the user's simulated finances

What it does

Our project takes in real-world data for stocks, taxes and interest from the years 2005-2023 and uses them to generate a simulated environment in which the user can test their financial acumen by striving towards a series of goals that they need to strategically budget for

How we built it

We built this application using the Flask library using python, JavaScript, html and CSS

Challenges we ran into

Early on in our project we decided to migrate our code base from C# to python and Flask which took quite a bit of time and effort

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of our successful integration and synchronization of mathematical python libraries such as numpy and matplotlib with our flask program to provide real-time updates for our data

What we learned

We learned a lot about co-operative collaboration and teamwork, especially about the need for efficient splitting of tasks for the smooth design and operation of our project

What's next for MHackers

We would like to add more functionality and options to our simulator, as well as to allow for more detailed simulations of personal expenses rather than generalized values as we have now
