Because we have lived in California for the majority of our lives, we know how hard housing is to obtain in this state and how housing is a basic necessity that so many Californians do not have. We were motivated to create a webpage on housing because we wanted to challenge our coding abilities while compiling current, pertinent information about the California housing crisis. We built this project using Visual Studio Code, Github, HTML, CSS, and Javascript. While we have basic knowledge about HTML, CSS, Javascript, and webpage building, we were able to build on our previous knowledge and each other. In the beginning, we had difficulties contributing to a single Github repository because of permissions and committing changes at the same time due to the lack of experience. However, after facing numerous obstacles with this platform, we eventually formed a better understanding of Github and were able to use it to complete our project. While building the project, we had trouble with having the numbered crises buttons change the slide and creating the pop-up section.

We hope to build on this project in the future by adding multiple subpages and even moving this website mock-up to platforms such as React so that it makes the webpage even more accessible to everyone.
