Inspiration
Shared living often falls apart over the smallest things—unfair chores, unclear bills, forgotten groceries, and unspoken frustration. We realized that most home conflicts come from one root problem: no one sees the full picture. So we set out to build a system that brings clarity, fairness, and alignment into everyday living.
What it does
It balances chores, splits expenses transparently, organizes groceries and notes, and keeps everyone in sync. The goal is simple: remove confusion and conflict, replace it with teamwork and trust.
How we built it
We designed a clean Flutter interface, built modular features for chores, expenses, and coordination, and focused on a user experience that reduces friction instead of adding complexity. Every feature is centered around one idea: make shared living easier.
Challenges we ran into
Designing what “fair” actually means, merging multiple daily workflows into one simple UI, and building fast under time pressure. Translating real human behavior into structured features was harder and more meaningful than expected.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
A polished, intuitive platform that tackles real household stress. We created a system that actually improves daily life when people live together.
What we learned
Fairness, clarity, and communication matter more than features. Designing for harmony means understanding people, not just code.
What's next for House buddy
Real-time sync, smart AI suggestions, shared calendars, and reward systems that make contributing feel rewarding. Our goal: turn shared living into something smooth, balanced, and genuinely enjoyable.
