hOur Exchange

Inspiration

Our parents have always told us that time was money, which we realized could be taken to a more literal extreme.

What it does

Connects people who want to help with those that need help in a personal and safe manner.

How we built it

We spent hours going over HTML and CSS sources before we eventually understood how to connect everything and build a serviceable website.

Challenges we ran into

None of us had ever attempted WebDev or FrontEnd programming before, so the new experience along with the quick learning process was definitely difficult.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The final product is born from almost completely new information; before the Hackathon, our knowledge of HTML was limited and our knowledge of CSS was nonexistent.

What we learned

We learned that intense perseverance and a willingness to fail in order to learn new topics can get one very far in a short period of time.

What's next for hOur Exchange

We believe that our project can set a new precedent for how simple tasks can be accomplished. Although our idea started as a way to bring the community together, it can also be a system that allows younger people to connect with different groups of people and achieve a wider perspective on different issues.
