Inspiration
Due to a lack of accessible alternatives when commuting, most Americans drive gas cars, which have significant detrimental effects on the environment. Hopper aims to increase the use of sustainable transportation by providing a convenient platform to access eco-friendly alternatives to personal gas-powered vehicles.
What it does
Hopper aims to offer accessible transportation alternatives in hopes of encouraging people to take an active role in creating a safer world for future generations! As a team, we believe we can foster a future in contributing to a healthier planet.
How we built it
We used Figma and Adobe Fresco to build our app, Hopper.
Challenges we ran into
Challenges we ran into while designing our app, Hopper, were figuring out new workspaces, transferring our skills, figuring out the specifics of UX research, and dealing with time constraints.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of the completed prototype we created in Figma with our newfound UI/UX skills, our approach towards fostering a healthier planet, and, additionally, competing in our first-ever design-a-thon! :)
What we learned
We learned that UI/UX is much more multi-faceted than it seems!
What's next for Hopper
In the next update of our app, Hopper, we hope to upload real-time data, implement backend functionality, allow for interaction amongst users, and add incentives within the app to further promote sustainable practices.
