Inspiration

In reviewing the assignments submitted for my classes, I've observed a significant delay in receiving feedback, with some submissions lacking responses for over a month. Our project is designed to offer instantaneous grading, enabling students to leverage timely feedback for substantial improvement in their performance on subsequent assignments. This immediate assessment is crucial not only for enhancing learning outcomes but also for fostering a more responsive and engaging educational environment.

What it does

Our project features a GUI for the submission and grading of assignments. It incorporates a login mechanism that distinguishes between teachers and students, enabling tailored interactions for each user group. Teachers are granted the capability to create courses and assignments. Students have the ability to join courses and submit assignments. This approach not only simplifies the administrative aspects of course management but also enriches the learning experience by providing clear pathways for academic engagement and assessment.

How we built it

The technologies for our frontend are: next.js and tailwind. The technologies for our backend are: dynamodb. VisionAI is used to parse the information from an assignment.

Challenges we ran into

Having the assignment auto grade was the most significant challenge we ran into.
