Inspiration

We were looking at other hackathons and they had websites

What it does

It is the website for hack kosice

How we built it

we built at an internal hackathon, where we chose theme for the website and built the base of the website there. then we hammered at it until it was done a couple of weeks later

Challenges we ran into

the template we bought was nice but not flexible, so we were stuck with predifined layouts and predifined pages on the webpage so we had to fix that

Accomplishments that we're proud of

we fixed this problem and we made the website flexible and we can now add new content as we wish we are not using wordpress anymore

What we learned

we learned how to work with hugo, and how to make a website go FAST

What's next for HK Website

we have a bunch of stuff over at github of our page /hackkosice/new-web/issues make the lectures page bilingual enable the webpage to be used as a progressive web app
