Inspiration

Individuals within marginalized communities often feel there are more obstacles to overcome when interacting with the majority population. Perhaps this social device would promote interaction and inclusivity.

What it does

It's a wearable tech device. When the individual wearing the device is turned around, when another individual speaks , the device shows output of sound-pickup. Also a safety device, so individuals wearing can have a device watching their backs.

How we built it

Thonny, raspberry pi pico, sensors.

Challenges we ran into

The circuitry was difficult- had to rewire several times. Integrating several sensors in the same shell with micropython was also a challenge.

How to use 3 new sensors, circuity on an expanded breadboard, and integrating several sensors in the same shell.
