Inspiration
Due to the outbreak of COVID-19, non-urgent healthcare services had reduced drastically and there is an increasing demand for remote outpatient solutions. The vulnerable population was suggested to self-isolate, and their caregivers may not be able to reach them.
Telemedicine and delivery apps helped a lot in this situation, however, not everyone has access to the internet or smart devices.
To tackle the digital divide, we are building an app in which users can book a phone consultation with a doctor or order food delivery via programmed phone calls.
What it does
Users can order food or item delivery
Users can book, change or cancel an appointment
How we built it
- Chatbot development using Twilio & javascript
Challenges we ran into
Time crunch was a challenge. During the testing phase, we ran into a bug in which the app constantly repeating itself... We spent a lot of time debugging
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We built an app! (not funcitonal though...
What we learned
We learnt a lot about chatbot development using Twilio and integrating two different bots into the same programmed flow
What's next for HelpBot
most specific on items/ food
allow users to choose supplier/ clinic
