Inspiration

Seniors not having reliable family members or friends to help support them learning tech

What it does

A website service that can connect seniors to people in their neighborhood that can help them navigate technology in the comfort of their own home or public space, in person. Creating a connection to the technology they are struggling with, but also to the local people around them knowing there is someone to count on when they do not know who to go to for support without having to rely on family or a professional.

How we built it

Figma, HTML, CSS, and PHP

Challenges we ran into

Short time frame Learning our strengths and weaknesses in a new environment Burnout

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Wireframe prototype functionality and coded website partial functionality

What we learned

how to work together in a team being a UI/UX designer for a developer how to create a design from idea to prototype in a limited time frame

What's next for Help.tech

Add a log in system for users tracking visits More ways to contact: message in browser Dashboard for volunteers Expand to cater to other tech amateurs including technologically underdeveloped areas
