Inspiration

The idea of Heirloom was inspired by the desire to preserve memories securely and pass down family legacy from generation to generation.

What it does

It is a digital time capsule platform that preserves and protects personal memories, documents, and media for future generations. It creates a way for families to stay connected with their history without the risk of data loss or leak of private experiences. The platform will store, organize, and preserve their memories through technological features such as artificial intelligence and blockchain encryption.

How we built it

We combined memory preservation and technological aspects to help users organize and protect their legacy in an accessible, secure interface. Heirloom will be presented on a web interface to display all the features and allow families to upload their memories without any worry.

Challenges we ran into

A challenge we faced was scaling the platform to handle growing user needs and making sure the technological advancements aligned with our goal of preserving memories. As a start-up, we want to branch out and have credibility, leading to the challenge of getting our customers to trust us.

What we learned

We learned how to create a proper Figma prototype and design a user-friendly solution that balances technology with emotional user needs.

What's next for Heirloom

Heirloom will create interactive memories by transforming uploaded media into augmented and virtual reality experiences using our past technological features, such as the implementation of artificial intelligence. In the future, we aim to partner with historical and educational institutions to provide interactive experiences for their audiences.
