Inspiration
We were inspired to create Hector the Hippo and this game because many people do not know which kinds of waste go where, causing all sorts of environmental problems. Our creation will help others realize the impact of correct disposal and in the future, improve the environment.
What it does
It lets players know where to put different kinds of waste.
How we built it
We built the game using a game engine. The game was coded in a coding language similar to java. The website was created through the use of html and css.
Challenges we ran into
We ran into a few challenges deciding what to build, and how to build our game. One of the challenges for the front-end development for our team was learning how to build the website, because of our inexperience in web development. Although this was the case, we persevered throughout and learned how to create a website.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're proud of working our hardest in our first hackathon and the teamwork we had.
What we learned
Our group learned how to collaborate effectively, learn how to organize work in a way that the three of us can effectively work on our parts.
