Inspiration

We wanted to create a space that would allow STEM majors to connect with each other, specifically in an environment that caters to their interests.

What it does

HeartWare is a website that allows STEM majors to easily find dates and make friends. This is done by allowing students to have a space that relates directly to their field of study, while also combining it with their personal lives.

How we built it

We first built our interface in Figma, then wrote the actual site with HTML and CSS.

Challenges we ran into

We struggled with formatting some of our components because we were new to HTML and CSS, so it was a learning curve that we needed to adjust to.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud of our design and that we learned how to properly format a website.

What we learned

We learned about HTML, CSS, design with Figma, and how to create a website from scratch for the first time.

What's next for HeartWare

We hope to actually implement it into a real website and start a community!
